Stucco Grasello is a premium decorative wall finish designed to recreate the depth, movement and polished character of natural marble. Formulated with pure acrylic resins and selected fillers, it produces a smooth, glossy surface with subtle tonal variations that give each application its own distinctive character.
Designed for interior plaster and gypsum surfaces, Stucco Grasello is ideal for feature walls, living spaces, reception areas, luxury retail, hospitality and other interiors where a refined Venetian-style finish is desired. The material is smooth to the touch, odourless and non-toxic, while the final appearance can range from softly polished to a highly reflective, mirror-like marble effect depending on the application and polishing technique.
Because the movement, shading and final polish are created by hand, the craftsmanship of the applicator plays an important role in achieving the finished design.
Application
Stucco Grasello is professionally applied using a stainless-steel trowel to create its characteristic smooth, glossy and marble-like finish. Proper surface preparation is essential: the substrate should be clean, sound and free from dust, oil, loose coatings and other contaminants. Highly absorbent or chalky surfaces require an appropriate primer, while damaged or irregular surfaces should be properly repaired before application.
Stucco Grasello is applied in two or more coats, allowing the required drying time between applications. The final movement, tonal variation and natural marble character are created by the applicator’s hand and trowel technique. To achieve a highly polished, mirror-like marble effect, the finished surface is carefully polished/burnished to enhance its depth, smoothness and reflective appearance.
Because the final appearance depends heavily on preparation, application technique and polishing, professional application by experienced decorative-finish specialists is recommended.
